2010 Winner - ‘Saul Williams’ by E.L.K (Luke Cornish)
Judges were impressed with E.L.K’s incredibly photo realistic stencil portrait of American signer, Saul Williams. ⠀

E.L.K artistic process is extremely intensive – using up to 85 layers of carefully hand-cut acetate, he sprays layer upon layer of aerosol paint.
The resulting image has a hyper-real quality due to his meticulous attention to minute detail and shadows. While E.L.K infuses a certain amount of street-art aesthetics into his works, ultimately they have a richness and vitality that rivals more traditional media. ⠀
